How Leaderboarded.com was acquired and relaunched
Leaderboarded.com used to be a different leaderboard tool. They shut down. We bought the domain and relaunched it as a focused B2B leaderboard platform.

If you remember Leaderboarded.com from a few years back, you might be surprised to find it back online. Here's what happened.
The original Leaderboarded
The previous owners marketed Leaderboarded as "the online leaderboard maker." Real-time updates, custom branding, device-agnostic. People used it for sales competitions, classroom gamification, fitness challenges, fundraising — anything that needed a ranked list.
Then it shut down.
If you were a customer at the time, you probably spent a frustrating afternoon looking for somewhere to move your boards.
We bought the domain
We were running KeepTheScore.com at the time — which we'd originally launched in 2017 as a leaderboard tool. Generic on purpose: track points, rank people, display standings. Sales teams, classrooms, fundraisers — anyone with a list of names and a column of numbers.
Sports scoreboards came later. Customers kept asking for OBS overlays, scorebugs, basketball shot clocks, soccer match periods, so we built them. Over the years that became the dominant use case on the domain, and the original leaderboard audience — managers, teachers, event organizers — ended up sharing space with hockey streamers and youth-league parents. Two ICPs, one product. The messaging got muddled, the SEO got confused, and the product was trying to be both things at once.
When Leaderboarded shut down, we acquired the domain. Not the user list, not the codebase. Just the name.
That gave us the chance to move the original leaderboard product back to its own home, and let KeepTheScore.com stay focused on what it had grown into: sports scoreboards and streaming overlays for the sports audience that had organically taken it over.
What Leaderboarded.com is today
Leaderboarded is a browser-based platform for online leaderboards, scoresheets, and goal trackers built for sales managers, team leads, classroom teachers, and event organizers. Real-time updates, no logins for viewers, embeddable on your intranet, shareable via a link. Trusted by 62,000+ creators, used to build over 1.3 million leaderboards.
It runs on the same infrastructure as KeepTheScore — fast and reliable — but the product, pricing, and positioning are deliberately different. Sports scoreboards stay on KeepTheScore.com. Everything else lives here:
