Share and Control Board Access

Control who can view and edit your scoreboards with public, admin, and scorekeeping links. Customize displays with URL parameters.

Leaderboarded gives you three shareable links, each with different permissions. The link itself controls access — no login required for recipients.

Access Levels

Read-only access with real-time updates. Use this for:

  • Live spectator viewing — parents, fans, and audiences
  • Digital displays and TV screens in venues
  • Embedding scores on your website

Full control over your board: settings, players, and scores.

  • Complete configuration access to appearance and features
  • Share with co-organizers and administrators (Pro only)
  • On the free plan, this link is for personal use only

Score-only access for assistants who shouldn't touch settings. The scorekeeping view is minimal by design — no board logo, title, or description — so scorekeepers can focus entirely on entering scores. Input buttons are larger than the admin view, making them easy to tap on a phone.

  • Update scores using large, easy-to-tap increment buttons
  • Can't modify board settings or player information
  • Great for scorekeepers and team leads
  • Works on any device — mobile phone, tablet, or computer. No app or account required.
  • Board title (if set) is shown in the scorekeeping panel for context
  • Built-in search filter for quickly finding participants on large boards
  • Available on all plans, including the free tier

How to Share Your Board

  1. Open your board and click Share in the toolbar
  2. Pick the access level you need
  3. Copy the link, or generate a QR code for easy scanning

Recipients don't need an account — they can start using your board immediately.

💡 Want people to add themselves? With Quick Join, participants scan a QR code and put their own name on the board — no account, and you keep control of all scoring.

Updating from more than one device

There's no limit on how many devices can update a board at the same time. At a live event you might run the admin view on a laptop, keep a phone in your pocket for quick changes, and hand a helper a tablet with a scorekeeping link — all updating the same board live. Log in on as many devices as you like, or share links so others don't need to log in at all.

Sharing with Teams and Organizations

Need multiple trainers, managers, or team members to access the same leaderboards? Here are your options.

Create a central paid account to manage all leaderboards, then hand out admin links to your team. Each person can edit any leaderboard they have the link for, without needing their own account.

This works well for:

  • Training organizations with multiple trainers
  • Companies with regional managers
  • Schools with multiple instructors

Option 2: Share Account Credentials

Share a single paid account login with your entire team. Everyone logs in with the same username and password. Simple, but no per-user audit trail.

Option 3: Separate Accounts

Create individual paid accounts for each team member. Maximum separation, but you'll pay for each account.

Note: We don't currently offer enterprise account sharing or multi-seat licenses. The admin link approach (Option 1) is the most flexible solution for teams.

Security Considerations

  • Admin links grant full control — only share with people you trust
  • Use scorekeeping links for anyone who only needs to update scores
  • Links can't be revoked once shared, so be deliberate about who gets them

Presentation Mode

Hide all UI elements while keeping admin access. Perfect for projectors and classroom displays.

To enter: Click the three-dots menu (⋮) → Enter presentation mode

To exit: Click the easel icon in the top-right corner

The mode persists across page refreshes.

URL Customization for TV Displays

You can control how your leaderboard appears on screens using URL parameters: auto-scrolling, specific rank ranges, distraction-free mode.

This is useful for:

  • Digital signage and TV displays
  • Multiple screens showing different rank segments
  • Tournament displays with rank filtering
