Two ways to collect data

The extra fields you enable can be filled in either of two ways:

1. You enter it — when you add or edit a participant, the enabled fields appear in the form for you to fill in.
2. Participants enter it themselves — when people add themselves to your board via Quick Join, the same fields appear on their join form, no account needed.

Either way, the data stays private — only you can see it — and it exports to CSV.

What is Participant Data Capture?

Collect additional information beyond just names and scores. This information is:

• Always private: Never displayed on the public leaderboard
• Admin-only: Only visible to you in the admin view
• Exportable: Included in your CSV downloads
• Flexible: Choose which fields to enable

Available Fields

You can collect almost any field you need — for example email, phone number, organization, job title, team name, or a privacy-policy consent checkbox. If you need something specific, just tell us and we'll add it.

How to Activate

1. Ensure you have an active Pro paid plan
2. Contact us with which fields you need
3. We'll activate the fields within 24 hours
4. Fields will appear when you add or edit participants

Note: Field activation applies to all your leaderboards.

Exporting Your Data

All participant data is included in your CSV export:

1. Click the three-dots menu (⋮) in the admin panel header
2. Select Download as File

The CSV includes participant names, scores, all captured data fields, and score history (for scoresheets). Empty fields are excluded automatically.

Privacy and Compliance

Data Visibility:

• Public leaderboard: Shows only names, scores, and profile images
• Admin view: Shows all data including hidden fields
• Participants: Cannot see each other's hidden data

Participant data capture is designed with privacy in mind. Participants see what data you're collecting, privacy policy checkboxes can be required, marketing opt-in is optional, and data can be deleted by removing participants. For custom compliance fields, contact us.
