System Requirements

Minimal requirements to run Leaderboarded: internet connection and modern browser. Works on all devices.

How it works

Leaderboarded is flexible — how many devices you need depends on how you share the leaderboard:

  • Sharing via link (email, Slack, social media): You can run everything from a single device. Update scores and share the leaderboard link with your audience — they open it on their own devices.
  • Displaying on a big screen (TV, projector): You'll want a second device connected to the screen. One device for updating scores, one for the display.

When two devices are used, they do not need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. You can update scores from your phone on mobile data while the display runs on a separate Wi-Fi network.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Leaderboarded offline?

No. An active internet connection is required on each device at all times.

Do both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network?

No. Each device only needs its own internet connection — they can be on completely different networks. You could update scores from a phone using mobile data while the leaderboard displays on a TV connected to venue Wi-Fi.

How do I display on a TV or projector?

Connect any device with a web browser to your display. Common options:

  • Computer/laptop via HDMI
  • Chromecast or similar streaming device
  • Smart TV with built-in browser
  • Tablet or phone with screen mirroring
